Mr.Beam - The Meristem A Projected Story
In November 2012 an art festival was organised to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Utrecht School of Arts. Having some roots in this art academy was enough reason for us to produce a short projected story for the festival. We have written an accessible show for all viewers that also pays an homage to all the hard working art students around the world.
‘The Meristem’ resembles our view of the creative and development process that many art students go through. We looked back at our development and realised that it was all about artistic growth, curiosity, making your way through and knowing that even at difficult times, there is always something that can inspire you back on your feet!
For an extra touch in the music, we formed a string quartet with students of the conservatory in Utrecht.

Mr.Beam - H&M Transparent Displays
An exceptional addition to our portfolio, Transparent Displays.
In March 2013, H&M opened a temporary experience store in the heart of Amsterdam, for the Conscious Spring line. We teamed up with LG and the talented studio ‘Mickey Did It’ to provide 3 transparent displays that communicate three essential principles in the H&M’s Conscious line philosophy; Natural Cotton / Saving Water / Garment Collecting.

Mr.Beam - Amsterdam Light Festival 2012
In December 2012 we received a request from the organisation of Amsterdam Light Festival to produce an eye-catching installation on The National Maritime Museum of Amsterdam (Het Scheepvaartmuseum Amsterdam).
Both the visual content as well as the music composition were mainly inspired by the many fascinating expositions in the museum. Although the audience was 150 meters away from the actual building, we accomplished to deliver a close feel experience.

Mr.Beam is awarded with the PUG AWARD 2012!
We are very excited and mostly honored to be rewarded with this exceptional award.
The PUG AWARD (PUG Prijs) is an initiative of the “Provinciaal Utrechts Genootschap” which is presented once every five years to reward the most outstanding Art & Science based initiative from Utrecht School of Arts.
Together with Mr.Beam, also Orestis Goumenos (music composer) was awarded. We’d like to thank the selection board and everyone from the PUG initiative.

Mr.Beam & Boolab - Galería Loewe, Barcelona
A neat video registration of the “Galería Loewe” in Barcelona, made by our dear friends from Boolab. It was a great pleasure to collaborate on this beautiful project.
Handicraft Magazine from China wrote an article about our work in their October 2012 issue. Thank you Handicraft!
In June 2012 we exposed an installation for the official opening of the new Province Building of Utrecht. Because of the enormous scale of this building, we decided to produce an abstract scale model of the building as our canvas. This allowed us to create a more intimate setting for the large group of government officials. None other than Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands was guest of honor to officially open the event.
A video compilation will follow soon.
